Import passwords from FFox not saving in Brave

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Import csv from firefox, they appear just fine in Brave. When I close Brave then reopen all passwords are gone. Cant find a save option? Dont understand what I’m missing. New to Brave and community for posting

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.68.134 Chromium 127.0.6533.38

@Rlb1 think this is related to Aggregate Topic: Lost Passwords in July 2024 update

I’m out and about so just going to tag in @Mattches as situation varies a bit, at least so he’s aware but I’m assuming just reference ongoing issue.

Beyond that, can you advise which method you used to install Brave, which specific OS you have (such as with Linux is it Mint, Debian, etc), and possibly test to see if the same thing happens on Beta or Nightly versions of Brave?

Yeah I suspect that this is due to the same password issue you’ve linked above. I think that once it’s resolved for Linux and macOS importing passwords will work as expected.

Kubuntu 22.04 All software I’ve installed comes from Discover. Is there an alternative for me? Thanks for your reply.

Odd, I have 2 laptops Im trying brave on. Laptop1 LMint Cinnamon, Laptop2 Kubuntu 22.04. Import passwords from FFox works on Laptop1 but will not save in Laptop2. Perhaps FYI, but my main PC is Kubuntu, ugh!
