Gmail suddenly not working

Gmail was working within my Brave browser. Now it does not!

Signing into gmail via https://www.google.com/gmail/about/# results in this url: https://accounts.google.com/CookieMismatch with the following error attached as screenshot (attempt to copy and paste was disallowed as new users are only allowed 4 links:

Note that I have shields down. Up or down results in same page from google.

Clearing history (last 24 hours) did not rectify issue

using: Version 1.0.1 Chromium: 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) running on MacOS 10.13.6

Not sure if this has anything to with the issue but I changed my default browser to Brave before this happened.

Gmail is still functioning properly when accessed via Chrome.

Problem solved! Used brave://settings/reset

After the brave reset the entry fields in Google Sign-in became blank. I re-entered my gmail address and password and it worked.
