Gmail is no longer working in the Brave web browser. Every time I try to access Gmail it keeps taking me to a page prompting me to load the HTML version of Gmail. The button to take me to the latest Gmail just takes me back to the prompt to load the HTML version. Gmail works fine on Chrome. It used to work find on Brave, until a week or two ago. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I’m using Brave version 1.28.105 Chromium: 92.0.4515.131 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10.
I think that you have tot accept Coockies from other.
Click on de “Brave Lion” on the adressen bar and accept. Restart your Brave and try. Maybey you have to clean your “Surf Data”
Yeah, I thought about that. I tried turning off the shields, clearing all browser data, etc. No joy. I started signing up for ProtonMail, lo and behold, Gmail suddenly starts working again. Freaky. Goodbye, Gmail. Hello, ProtonMail.

OK, pretty simple, don’t be put off by all the stuff in the console window.
In your regular profile go to the Basic HTML Gmail tab and press the following keys together. Ctrl-Shift-I (that is the letter I not number 1).
A section will open up, usually at the bottom of the page. It is used by developers to debug but you don’t have to concern yourself with any of it, just let it sit there. The tab that you’re viewing - Gmail - will be resized and be a bit smaller, it might look like the page is …
and thereafter . . .

As @289wk correctly pointed out - whoever is having Gmail issues, take a look at the thread from @289wk ’s comment.
I’ve gathered all information regarding the issue, hopefully we’ll hear from Brave’s team soon.

Please, take a look at this thread whenever you have the opportunity. Multiple users are reporting the same issue, the issue is not present in a private window and/or a new user profile. I’m not sure what might be causing the issue as I can’t reproduce it on my end.
Here is what we know about the issue so far:
Clearing browsing data doesn’t resolve the issue.
Disabling extensions doesn’t resolve the issue.
Disabling Brave Shields doesn’t resolve the issue.
