I am using the current Brave Beta on Zorin 16.2. Recently, volume during YouTube playback has dropped to almost inaudible, despite being set at 100%. Volume of the same video played in another browser (Chromium) is normal. I cannot find an audio control in Settings. I have rebooted and explored settings in Zorin with no change. Low audio only happens with Brave Beta. Suggestions?
Description of the issue: How can this issue be reproduced?
Thank you for reaching us and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Can you please try creating a new browser profile (Menu --> Create profile ) and see if Youtube’s volume still sounds lower than it should when using the new profile?
check this one to troubleshoot sound in case if it related to zorin setting for brave
could you try in private mode with all extension disabled ?
if it work fine then either the issue with your cache so clear it or the issue with one of your extension so disable all of them and renable one by one till you get the one causing the isssue
Never mind, Alice. I find that in Zorin, YouTube plays fine in any other browser, including regular Brave, Firefox, and Chromium. Only Brave Beta has the problem. This is my travel laptop, not my primary. I’ll just use one of those browsers if I want to watch a YT.
On my other computers, Brave Beta plays YT just fine using Mint and MX OS. So it seems to be a Zorin issue.
