Downloading save file dialog not showing

Description of the issue:
Downloading a PDF or ISO doesn’t show the download dialog, and doesn’t download anything. If the “Ask where to save each file before downloading”-toggle is off, the download does happen. It seems that Brave doesn’t need the dialog for that, download is a success.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install Fedora 36 beta (Gnome 42 + Wayland)
  2. Install Brave (using the script from Brave)
  3. Download any ISO or PDF file… it will fail

Expected result:
A dialog that will allow me to select the location to save and rename the file for downloading.

Brave Version:
Version 1.36.122 Chromium: 99.0.4844.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
OS Name: Fedora 36 (Workstation Edition Prerelease)
GNOME version: 42.0
Windowing System: Wayland

This is an issue with Chromium on Wayland. If you use Xorg it works. I haven’t found a fix yet, but this is a Chromium issue and not just a Brave one. I get this on 42 as well, but I haven’t tested to see if this breaks on 41 or earlier on Wayland.
