Change camera from front(selfie) to back

**In older versions of Firefox, when using the camera, there was an option to choose if I wanted to use the front or the back camera. When will this be implemented? **

Expected result: See Firefox v67.0 from may 2019. https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/mozilla/firefox/firefox-67-0-release/#downloads

@ujes821,
You will have to be more specific. What site are you attempting to use the camera function on?

For example omegle.com, or any other websites which may use the phone’s camera.

@ujes821,
Can you share a screenshot of what the UI looks like in Brave vs in another browser?

Here is how it looks in firefox v66(2019 may 5th), but it’s the same in newer versions too.
In Brave there is no specific UI for this. After granting android permissions for the camera and microphone, Brave will automatically choose the front camera.

@ujes821,
Is there any way you could test this in Chrome as well and tell me whether or not you get the same behavior? I’ve reached out to the Android team in the meantime to see if anyone might have a suggestion as to why you’re seeing this.

Chrome behaves just like Brave. Even Firefox removed this unfortunately in their horibble new update, but I think it’s just temporary.

So then this is very likely something that we inherited from Chromium upstream and was probably not intentional. I found the following bug logged by the Chromium team, although I’m not entirely sure it’s the right one:
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=693746

Yeah, to me it seems as the same issue. Is there any way for you to implement this feature?

@ujes821,
With issues like this they tend to be fixed upstream in the Chromium engine.
