This still seems to be an issue but the topic was closed for some reason:
Even when I disable the shield I cannot select which camera to use - it does not offer the default one either 
Checked in the meantime and the latest Chrome has the same issue. Safari works fine - there I can select the camera.
I’m using MacOS.
