Certain sites open blank pages after clearing cache, removing all extensions

Description of the issue:
When opening certain pages, the screen would just be blank.
These sites are currently being a problem:
www.temu.com
www.energize-health.co.za

I have cleared the browsing data multiple times. I’ve looked to see if there are any hidden blockers. I’ve shut down the Brave shields.
When i open the sites in Google Chrome it does the same.
When i open in Edge it does the same
When i open Vivaldi, they work perfectly fine.
temu.com was still opening until i cleared the cache the last time, now it is also blank.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. I just enter the address in my browser and it’s blank

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave is up to date

Version 1.74.50 Chromium: 132.0.6834.111 (Official Build) (64-bit)

You might use the Advanced tab at:

  • brave://settings/clearBrowserData

and clear everything you choose - for time range: “All time”

Thank you for that.
I’ve set all the settings exactly as you have them. Temu opens up, but i cannot click on anything.
energize-leath.co.za still opens up as a blank page, so the problem persists.
At first i thought it was all shopping sites, but Aliexpress works fine, mantech.co.za works fine. There was another site that also gave the same issue (the site name i cannot remember), but it was also a site where purchases can be made.
Thank you for the help thus far.

@wernerh ,

Re website temu.com, in a New Window, go to brave://settings/content/javascript

Scroll down that javascript settings page to Allowed to use javascript

Click the Add button

Enter [*.]temu.com as the site . . . but do not Enable the following:

  • Current Private session only

Click the Add button

Repeat those steps for:

  • [*.]kwcdn.com

Re website energize-health.co.za,

Repeat those steps for:

  • [*.]energize-health.co.za
  • [*.]app.backinstock.org
  • [*.]cdn.hextom.com
  • [*.]cdn.jsdelivr.net
  • [*.]cdn.shopify.com
  • [*.]cdnjs.cloudflare.com
  • [*.]fsb.hextom.com
  • [*.]s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com
  • [*.]s3.amazonaws.com
  • [*.]storage.googleapis.com
  • [*.]www.youtube.com

You should be able to successfully ping each of those hostnames.

I visited the EasyList website and downloaded both of the following text files:

In order to search for what might be blocking progress at the two websites of interest to you. I did not find anything in those AdBlock filter lists, that would be a concern.

In order to reduce influence by websites:

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: brave://settings/content

Scroll down to Additional permission . . . and set:

  • Protocol handlers: Don't allow sites to handle protocols
  • File editing: Don't allow sites to edit files or folders on your device
  • Clipboard: Don't allow sites to see text or images on your clipboard
  • Window management (later BB versions): Don't allow sites to manage windows on all your displays
  • Window placement (older BB versions): Don't allow sites use info about your screens to open and place windows

Scroll down to Content . . . and set:

  • Pop-ups and redirects: Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to:

brave://net-internals/#dns

Click on Clear host cache

Next, same window, select “Sockets” on the left.

Click Close idle sockets

Click Flush socket pools

Quit everything and Restart your computer.

And . . .

Flush the Windows OS DNS cache:

Open a Command prompt, then run it as an administrator:

  • Right click CMD
  • Click Run as administrator

Type or paste each command below

  • ipconfig /release
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • ipconfig /renew
  • netsh int ip reset
  • netsh winsock reset

Then Restart your Windows OS computer.

Sadly none of this is working.
I’ll just have to uninstall and use Vivaldi. I have no problem opening these sites with it.
Thanks

@wernerh ,

Sorry. Something to consider with any browser:

You might monitor the Developer Tools window > Network tab, to see what might be hanging or looping.

How to use Developer Tools:

Developer Tools > Network:

Someday, you might compare what you see in that window, among various Internet browsers - most have a Developer Tools window.

If you click on the JS button - to the right from the All button, then you will see JavaScripts (instead of All the items). And, while watching that window, I sometimes ENABLE the “Disable cache” checkbox.

Some webpages do not render anything visible, with JavaScripts blocked. While some webpages will render variations in the amount of visible real estate.

Anyway, someday you may find the Developer Tools window to be handy.

Good luck.
