Can't enable Password Sync

Description of the issue:
When trying to enable syncing Passwords, Brave asks for a Device/Biometric authentication to verify enabling this feature.
However, after successfully finishing the authentication, the slider is not activated and tapping it does nothing.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave
  2. Go to Settings → Sync
  3. Go to Sync Options
  4. Try to switch Passwords to the on state.

Expected result:
Password Syncing is turned on.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.70.123 (German localized version)
