Description of the issue:
Sometimes, Brave (tabs, address bar, website contents) becomes unclickable without freezing. Videos play just fine, for example, but you can’t click on anything anymore.
Steps to Reproduce:
The most reliable way to reproduce the issue for me has been:
- Open Brave and navigate to https://drive.google.com/drive/
- Drag and drop a file from the file explorer onto the Google Drive page.
- Wait for the file to upload
- Try to click anywhere, on the web page, in the address bar, or on a different browser tab - it shouldn’t work anymore, unless you restart the browser.
Oddly enough, keyboard shortcuts still work. You can, for example, press CTRL + R to reload the web page, although everything is still unclickable.
Actual Result:
What I am doing in the recording is:
- showcasing how the browser works fine just prior to uploading a file
- uploading a file to Google Drive
- unsuccessfully trying to click on anything after uploading the file
- reloading the page via CTRL + R to show that the browser is still responsive, but unclickable.
Expected result:
The browser should be clickable.
Reproduces how often:
Every time when doing the above.
Operating System and Brave Version:
- Arch Linux (with KDE Plasma 6.0.2, Wayland session)
- Brave ver. 1.64.113, Chromium: 123.0.6312.86 (Official build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Brave also becomes unclickable randomly. I don’t yet know what those other use cases are.
I saw this post about the issue happening on Mac, but even with memory saver turned off and without being in full-screen mode, I still get this issue.
