Browser resolution

Hello,

When I open Brave, it runs just fine for about 5 minutes, then the resolution of the entire browser suddenly decreases (not sure if I’m describing this right, everything just becomes a little blurrier). Also videos will flicker intermittently. I can interact with certain things, like text or images, by mouse-hovering or clicking, and they’ll become a little more focused, but the issue exists outside of just the webpages, it’s also the URL bar, bookmarks, and tabs. Additionally, the issue only occurs in Brave. Other programs and web browsers don’t experience this.

I believe this started happening when I updated Windows most recently, within the past day or two. I’ve tried reinstalling Brave, restarting Windows, refreshing pages, I’ve even gone into my computer’s display settings to see if something was amiss there and I couldn’t find anything that made a difference.

Expected result: Regular browsing functionality.

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)

**Additional Information:**If more info is needed please just ask and I’ll do my best to reply quickly. I hope this issue can get resolved, I love Brave and I’d hate to have to go back to using Chrome.

Hello @Camburgaler

go to brave://settings/system and disable hardware acceleration

hope that help and have a nice day

This fixed it! Kinda feel silly that the whole issue was just one button in the settings.
Do you happen to know what about the hardware acceleration caused the issue in the first place?

glad to know it fixed and do not be we all miss something sometime  i even do worse than that but keep it a secret :joy:

hardware acceleration is related graphics driver and the some library in the chrome core in the brave browser

so update to the driver or the library could cause issue
and sometime update to operating system (windows in your case) that affect any of those would make issue also

hope that help and have a nice day
