Brave using up way too many processes and memory

Description of the issue: So Brave has always worked fine for me up until the last couple of days. After having problems with my beta version of Windows 10 I had to reset my computer with a clean install of Windows and subsequently a clean install of Brave (meaning it has no added extensions or data other than what it was packaged with). Then I was still wondering why, after eliminating the many Lenovo bloat wares, was my idle RAM usage high. So I looked at Task Manager for any further unnecessary processes that needed deleting only to find Brave has 18 processes running constantly taking up over 1GB of RAM. I don’t have another software installed that singlehandedly uses up as much RAM as Brave does.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Start a clean window of Brave (without extensions)
  2. Open task manager and locate Brave
  3. Observe the fact Brave appears 7 separate processes from only one tab open without extensions or anything other than what it installs with. Observe that said processes are using 235MB of memory for one tab without even loading a webpage. Adding another empty tab adds 23MB to that figure. Loading a single webpage in one of those tabs adds a further 60MB.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result: I tried the exact same set up in Chrome and Edge. Edge used all of 110MB in total with one website open, and 150MB with two tabs open. Chrome used 140MB with one website open and 150MB for two tabs. Both browsers used half the memory expended by Brave doing the same task.

Reproduces how often: every time Brave is opened.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu): Windows 10. Brave version 1.14.84 Chromium: 85.0.4183.121
