Brave suddenly keeps removing my passwords from password manager

Description of the issue:
So, as the topic says Brave suddenly keeps removing my passwords from the password manager.
I did not clear or auto-clear my passwords. I use the same profile since forever. I don’t even need to close brave for this to happen.
I use Brave for several years now on two desktop PCs and an Android phone. The profiles are completly synced between all systems, but keep disappearing on one machine all of a sudden. I did not change any of the settings on either PC for months.
Due to “reasons” I need to open Brave on the concerning PC via a desktop shortcut and “–user-data-dir=D:/Brave” where my profile folder is situated.
Like said before this all worked before all the time and now it doesn’t. The rest of the profile settings remain, except the passwords.
I exported the passwords from the one PC and imported them again on the other, but they keep disappearing over and over again.
After import of the csv-file, they are shown in the password manager. As soon as I switch to any other settings tab and return to the password manager they are gone.

Brave Version:
1.74.48 64bit

Additional Information:
The system is a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with Windows 10 Enterprise (64bit), Version 22H2

@darthvalda can you please try removing the affected PC from the Sync chain it’s on, then importing the passwords again and test to see if they are still getting cleared out?

Well, that didn’t work either…

But here’s what DID work:
I left the sync chain, deleted my whole profile folder, fired up Brave and restarted the sync chain.

Maybe one of the files like “Login Data” was corrupted. I don’t know…

It seems like there’s an issue with syncing or the custom user data directory in Brave. Try checking your sync settings, recreating your profile, and ensuring Brave has proper permissions for the custom path.
