Brave Rewards | All Ads History Gone - From 150 ads to 0

Briefly describe your issue:
All my ads history gone (from all system) and now the number of Ads seen is 0 from around 140-150. This happened twice. Last time also when Payout processing date was near… my rewards were reset to 0. And today also, It got reset to 0 and no history of ads is there.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu --> About Brave)
MacOS: Version 1.76.82 Chromium: 134.0.6998.178 (Official Build) (arm64)
Windows: Version 1.76.82 Chromium: 134.0.6998.178 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Who is your verified custodian? (Uphold/Gemini/bitFlyer)
BitFlyer

Are you in a supported region? (see here for list of supported regions)

Yes (Japan) is supported.

Probably because it is April, and the ads you watched is in March?

I also think the same… as yesterday (1st April) I noticed this. Prior to this date everything was fine. Thanks, I’ll just keep an eye on payment processing for now.

Yeah, just keep an eye for the balanced on Bitflyer.

I just checked the Payout Status here: Ads Payout Status Update

and it says Payout to BitFlyer is completed. But my account shows 0.00 BAT still. Should i wait even more?

@satyadau just create a Rewards Support Ticket at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001302431 and they’ll look into it

i just did.. thanks for the help.

I just received a response that my Brave rewards profile is flagged and I no longer can receive a payout. But why it is being flagged… i am not getting an answer on this.

@satyadau policy of Brave and many companies dealing with cryptocurrency is they won’t tell you what you did to get flagged. There was a time long ago when they used to tell people but all it did was either:

  • Educate people doing wrong on what was detected, which then allowed them to come up with new ways to try to avoid detection and do things they shouldn’t. (In other words, just helped the people doing fraud)
  • Lead people to just want to argue and demand evidence, which isn’t necessary according to the Terms of Service/Terms of Use or by any law. Especially as it kind of circles back to the first bullet point.

As you would have seen in your email, it’s because they detected unusual or suspicious behavior. I wrote a very short thing on this before:

thanks for your response. Hope the profile would get unflagged after some time.
