Brave (on Mac) crashes every time I cmd+click to open a link in a new tab

Description of the issue:
This is in regards to a previous post that is “closed” now. I’ve found a resolution that works for me so far.

Every time I cmd+click to open a link in a new tab, the browser instantly crashes - no warnings, no messages, just immediately gone.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open any page (have tested with personal sites, Google, random websites, all the same).
  2. Hold Command key and click on a link.

Expected result:
Link should open in a new tab.
Right-clicking and choosing “Open Link in New Tab” functions as expected.

Brave Version( check About Brave ):
Version 1.5.123 Chromium: 80.0.3987.163 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
This is what worked for me: deactivate or change the “Enable Hover Text” settings (behind the Options… button) in System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom. Choose a different “Activation Modifier” key and the cmd + click crashes should stop.

This was the fix. Thank you.

@brave @Bravesupport you guys need to fix this, any accessibility features are for those that are impaired. They need a functioning browser as much as anyone else, if not more.
