If I open brave from the desktop icon it looks sleek with a fresh new look like below :
But if Brave is open from a weblink from an email it opens the old version:

Did you try to reinstall (uninstall and install) Brave?

It seems that you have that 2 Brave version installed on your machine. One is Brave (brave-muon) 0.25.x and the other is Brave Browser (brave-core) 0.56.x or higher.
This can be happens because the OS is confused about the default browser. You may set Brave Browser as a default but your OS still set it to Brave.
Yes, thanks guys, I had two versions. I wanted to remove the post when I noticed it but I got temporarily blocked here since I’m a new user and there are some restrictions apparently
