Description of the issue:
I have been using Brave for awhile and have it set via Windows 10 as my default browser. When the last major update took place it updated the visual aesthetics of Brave and continued to work well. I immediately noticed that when I click a link in an email or elsewhere outside of the Brave browser, it will not open the newer version. It will open the old version and then tell me I should upgrade. I cannot get the old version to open any other way, not by clicking the shortcuts or even double clicking on the .exe in explorer.

Expected result:
Open the newest version which is what I generally use everyday.

Anytime I click a link outside of the Brave browser.
