Brave keeps crashing while doing random web searches and activities

My brave browser keeps crashing, non-stop and it’s during random moments of the web activity. From youtube, to doordash, to email, to downloading, to stream. There isn’t a way to pinpoint where the activity of the crashing occurs. Crash IDs below… but seriously, I am moving back to Chrome until this is fixed. Anyway to stop this from occurring?

Brave is up to date
Version 0.68.140 Chromium: 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

EDIT: From the other posts, I do not have sync-chain enabled

Is anything being done about the random browser crashes, or should we uninstall Brave and move on to the next browser? It’s actually rather annoying for a browser that comes so highly recommended and that I’ve been enjoying till now.

I’ve been looking at the Mozilla’s new redesign of Firefox as I wait for things to iron out with Brave.

Hahaha, right there with you! Even Microsoft Edge is starting to look good at this point

It is quite unfortunate how unstable Brave has gotten. It went from my default browser to now me using other browsers to ensure my work doesn’t get lost when it crashes

Please note that this issue has been reported many times and the team is well aware of the issue. It seems to be linked to devices that are a part of a Sync chain.
See the following thread for more information:

sadly i’m having the same issue.

I began having the same sudden and seemingly random crashes recently. Sometimes it happens after pasting or typing a URL and hitting Enter; sometimes it happens after clicking “Log in” on a web form, sometimes… It’s even more random.

I had attributed it to my extensions, but the issue happens even in a clean Brave profile without extensions.

It’s beyond annoying, and since I do testing for a living, I have no desire to do it for someone else as well.

Today I turned the bookmark sync back on and within minutes the crashes returned.

I have returned to Foxfire until this sync issue is resolved.

I am having the same issue. Updates on my PC have been coming rather fast and furious, but I never get a notification for updates on my mobile phone. (Blackberry)

I’m having the same problem and I no longer have sync enabled because it was a disaster. I disabled it months ago, shortly after trying it. At the same time I got rid of brave on my iphone because it was really a problem.

Also, too many financial sites that I cannot sign into using brave.

I loved the idea, but the implementation is a problem

While I’m here…having your ads pop up right where I am regularly going to click is problematic. Way too many false clicks on ads.

Hey guys I had the issue and found out it was my anti-virus program. I was using AVG free. So I removed it and am using windows defender which is very adequate. I have had no crashes since and have been using this very fast Brave browser for months.
