Brave in Switzerland / Uphold in Germany

Hi there,

I’m German and live in Switzerland (not restricted BAT country).
I have successfully opened an uphold account with my German ID and Swiss postal address.
I successfully connected Brave with my Uphold account,

BUT: I get the error message, that I cannot receive BAT bc I’m registered in a restricted country. (I gather it’s my German ID I udes to verify the account with and NOT my country of residence)

Legally, there shouldn’t be a restriction, since I do not live in Germany.

How can I get BAT to work for me?

You can get a Swiss ID and verify using it instead of German one. Otherwise there’s nothing that can be done.
Germany seems to be pretty tough to get back on Brave rewards so, until unless it’s supported again by Uphold /Gemini or a new custodial is in place for Germany, there’s not much hope of having Germany back soon.

After contacting uphold support I could successfully reverify my account with a Swiss ID. Now was able to connect Brave rewards with uphold. Case closed and kudos to the uphold support.
