Brave crashes but is still responding

Description of the issue:
Brave Crashes constantly, it stays working but the screen does not move, I can click on stuff but the screen does not change, for example it crashes, the screen stays, I click on refresh and it shows it is refreshing on the bottom left, but nothing happens on the screen.
When it crashes and i click on the 3 lines on the top right of the screen the pop up menu does open up and it works, but the screen is still frozen, my computer is still working fine and it does not show that the program is not responding.

How can this issue be reproduced?
I am not quite sure what might cause the issue so here are some possibilities.

  1. Using brave for extended periods of time?
  2. Having more than 5 tabs open?
  3. Brave using too much cpu?

Expected result:
Screen crash or not responding although the program is still working.

Have you tried to disable hardware acceleration? (Additional settings -> System)
