Recently i decided to switch over to brave from edge. So i installed it, but it requires me to open with administrator, otherwise it just wont open. Im not sure whats causing it, but its quite annoying cuz i cannot open links from another apps, cannot use windows snapshot for brave, and i cannot drag and drop files into it. But then, edge and chrome are working properly. I also installed opera gx to test, and it worked just fine too. Only brave has this problem. I also tried reinstalling brave with completely deleted browsing data. But same problem.

I’m on windows 11, and up to date.

@Lilyene,
You’re saying that you can’t use those features when you run Brave as admin? You definitely should be able to. Are you not the admin of your machine?

i am the admin of this device, it says so in windows settings. Still, shouldn’t i be able to open it without requiring admin privileges?
