Brave page shuts down within 7 seconds of opening.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled on my Dell using Windows 11.
Can’t keep it open long enough to go into settings
Tried download 2 different versions and they shut down as well. Don’t know which versions. I am not computer savvy. Tried reading some of the comments and searching but am frustrated.
Should i just chop this up as a loss and use a different browser.
Expected result:
Brave Version( check About Brave): 108.1.46.144 is the current version I am using.
Hello @bmw330CI, thank you for bringing this to our attention. You mean Brave Beta and Nightly doing the same as well? Have you tried opening the task manager pressing Crtl + Alt + Del to see if Brave’s processes are still open? If so, force to end the task and try opening Brave again. Besides, do you have sync enabled?
Can try the following steps:
Quit Brave
Open Command Prompt
Enter: "C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe" --disable-sync
If it still crashes, then also try entering: "C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe" --disable-gpu
I did the task manager bit prior to writing the community, forgot to mention. I was unable to do any of the steps above. I went in and deleted anything related to Brave in my program files. I was able to download Brave Beta and that has stayed open the Brave Release is still shutting down after the 7 seconds. I will stay with the beta if that is the only thing that will work on my laptop.

I’m getting this same issue. I tried disabling sync, but it still has the same issue. It’s gotten progressively worse. In the past, I could get it to work after a few re-loadings, but since yesterday, it only crashes. Beta works, but I don’t have any of my brave settings loaded into beta. Update sync works, so I have all of my settings again, but why is regular brave broken?
