Brave Browser not showing saved password in settings

Description of the issue: When i am accessing site, for example, when i click username field - it suggests me to use a saved password, but when i go to settings to see saved password it tells me that no saved passwords are stored yet.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave Browser
  2. save a password
  3. go to settings

Expected result: I expected to see list of saved passwords in settings menu

Brave Version( check About Brave): [Version 1.9.72 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

Can you try adding trello to the list of never save and seeing if it appears on that list?

I can’t try to add to list of ‘never save’, because it don’t ask me that, it enters automatically and for a half of second i see “key” icon at right of navigation bar, after it disappear. no other questions.

Can you go to, brave://settings/passwords and disable auto sign in? and then try adding it to the list?

i went to


and disabled auto sign in.

i went to another site where i didn’t saved password, and there it worked… kinda…

when i signed in to site, key icon appeared in navigation bar, but it didn’t pop-up like chome for example asking if i want to save it.

i clicked on key icon, and then clicked on ‘never save’. and it adds into ‘never save’ list.
after that i tried with other site… but this time ‘save password’. saved passwords list is empty, but on site it suggests me to login.

Can you go to brave://settings/clearBrowserData, click on Advanced, and then untick everything and only keep passwords and other sign-in data. After you clear the data, quit and reopen Brave, and then try adding the password to saved.


interesting fact, in advanced, it tells me that there are no passwords saved…

May i left cookies, because i don’t want to re-login to all kind of sites where i’m already logged in?

Can you only clear keep passwords and other sign-in data, and then quit and reopen Brave?

If that does not work, can you try creating a new profile and seeing if the issue persists?
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner > create a new profile.
