Browser does not save Passwords even though it offers to do so and I click "Save"

Browser does not save any passwords even though the panel to save passwords appears and I select SAVE.

  1. I click Log In on Web Page
  2. I enter Log In and Password
  3. Dialog appears and asks if I want to save log In and Password
  4. I click yes
  5. Site is Accessed
  6. I log out
  7. I attempt to log in again and both Log In and Passwords field are blank
  8. I check Saved Passwords in Brave Preferences and no passwords are saved.

I should be able to log in to site without entering Log In and Password each time. Brave Preferences should list save passwords. Problem is repeatable every time.

MacOS 10.15.7 Brave 1.31.88
