“What exactly is not verified”
Did you read the description of the report?
Nothing to do with Brave.exe or the updater.
As for doing it “the right way” :), AutoRuns is programmed by Mark Russinovich, the same person who programs Process Explorer (which you recommend, but that would be useless in this case because the problem process is not running), probably one of the best Microsoft sysinternals programmers there has ever been.
Very talented and prolific programmer who still maintains his suite of tools, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/sysinternals-suite
I am on an Adminstrator account, so there is no need to give the installer any special elevations.
Why the heck would I need to re-install Brave?, Brave is fine, and freshly installed on a clean installation of Win 11 (both of which were done 2 days ago).
For those who cant be arsed looking into this and may well spout off even more crap advice, here’s a screenshot https://i.imgur.com/1ne0dDF.png
The Verification of the Brave Browser Installer, is something the developers of Brave need to look into.
You didn’t provide enough information in your original post. However, you are correct – the below executables should be digitally signed by Brave, but they are not.
Emi, yes, stop wasting your time, you didn’t help at all. Go play/vent your frustrations somewhere else. Insults/imagining how I think and making up things I didn’t say = All uncalled for.
