Brave blocking global shortcuts for clipboard paste

Description of the issue:
I have jumpcut installed. This is an OS-global multi-clipboard for macos. It operates by pressing ctrl-option-v which gives you a popup to scroll through previous copy of text.

Recently, an update of Brave has killed this functionality when the cursor is inside a password form field. The shortcut continues working on non-password boxes and continues working when you click out of a password box. But when active inside password box, the shortcut does not work.

This is extremely inconvenient as I can no longer copy/paste passwords from my password manager.

This blockage was similarly introduced in iTerm2, but you can turn off ‘Secure Keyboard Entry’ and the shortcut continues functioning.

Is there a similar setting in Brave to disable this protection?

@da16fd70d17,
Unfortunately no, there is no setting for this in Brave. I thought maybe there’d be something in brave://settings/content/clipboard but nothing I can find.

There may be something in brave://flags as well but nothing that I can see at first glance. I can ping the team about this and see if there is anything we can do.

Damn, this is super irritating. Completely killed my workflow established over the past year. There must be something Brave can do since iTerm figured out a way to give users the ability to turn this protection off. Many thanks!
