Global shortcut for clipboard manager no longer works in password fields

Description of the issue:
I have a global clipboard, Jumpcut, in macos. The hotkey that enables the bezel to allow scrolling through the clipboards is ctrl-option-v. This shortcut no longer works when the cursor is inside a password form box.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enable some sort of global key shortcut
  2. Go to any webpage with a password-style form field.
  3. Place cursor in normal text box. Press keys to active global shortcut. Works.
  4. Place cursor in password box. Press keys to activate shortcut. Not works.

Expected result:
I expect my shortcuts to work everywhere, no matter what kind of text box the cursor is in.
