Brave automatically connects to Microsoft Edge

Description of the issue:
When I open Brave for iOS on my phone, Microsoft Edge launches on my MacBook with a phone icon overlaid on top of the Edge icon. Opening Microsoft Edge on my MacBook, I found the same site I had loaded on my phone. This would be expected behavior if I was running Edge for iOS and Edge for MacOS, but obviously not from a privacy browser.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Install Brave for iOS
  2. Install Brave for MacOS
  3. Install Microsoft Edge on MacOS
  4. Create a sync chain between Brave for iOS and Brave
  5. Open Brave for iOS, and navigate to any page

After step 5, Microsoft Edge and Brave are linked together.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Microsoft Edge opens in response to Brave on iOS being opened, and pages loaded.

Expected result:
No result expected.

Reproduces how often:
Every time I use Brave on iOS

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
MacOS 11.0.1
Brave on MacOS Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67
iOS 14.2
Brave on iOS Version 1.21 (20.11.10.16)

Hi @pgaitan, Welcome to Community!
This should have nothing to do with sync, this is Handoff
It will show whichever browser you have set as your default on the OS, it will also happen outside of Brave.
