Brave has just showed me an ad directing me to app.simpflex.com. But this website was blocked by Malwarebytes Browser Guard because it might contain malware activity. You can see the secreenshot below. Can you please tell me what you think about this case? I hope Brave doesn’t intentionally lead us to such a vulnerable position.

Thank you for reporting this – I’ve passed this information on to security team and ads team for review. Will be back soon when I have some more information. In the meantime, can you tell me what OS and Brave version you’re using?

In addition, just to make sure we have all the facts, can you please go to Brave Rewards --> Ads --> 7-day ad history and send a screenshot of the exact ad you clicked on?
I clicked on the add about “SimpleFX Trading App” and then the link was immediately blocked by Malwarebytes Browser Guard.

As suspected, this appears to be a false positive. Digging in, Malwarebytes seems to be flagging crypto-exchanges as “risk ware” in certain cases. That said, the site in question is not malware or malicious – I just visited myself and had no issues.
We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention – better safe than sorry. I hope this eases your conscious a bit. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
