I have been having issues with the Android app since September, and this month, my BAT balance was reduced by half on my desktop.
I’ll start with my phone:
Every month, at the end of the month, my balance is reduced to about 0.5 BAT (never exactly), regardless of how many ads I receive. This only happens if my BAT balance is above 0.5, otherwise, nothing happens. I haven’t said anything about this issue, because from a cost benefit perspective, I lose more money spending the time documenting and contacting you regarding the issue than I stand to gain from a possible (not guaranteed) beneficial resolution. I assumed that the problem is a bug that will be resolved at some point, maybe I was wrong about that. Regardless, I decided that since I am contacting you about the desktop app, that I would mention the problem with Android as well.
Second, the desktop app:
Recently, in the last couple of days, my BAT balance was reduced to half of what it was previously. I understand that there was a bug that kept last month’s disbursement from being deducted from some wallets, but I don’t recall that being something that happened to me. Regardless, according to the ad counter, I viewed 347 ads this month (on my desktop), which has now (after halving) left me with a balance of 2.841 BAT. Does this seem correct? That comes out to 0.00819 BAT or $0.00622 per ad. I hadn’t done the math on this in a long while, but that seems like a much smaller amount than when I started using Brave a little over a year ago. Their BAT per ad is significantly higher than mine, which further leads me to believe something went wrong with my wallet.

This is hilarious. One month and eight days later someone at Brave finally reviewed my post and approved it. It’s almost like it was done on purpose; like they decided to approve it only once everyone had forgotten about how they halved BAT rewards. This is really becoming tiresome. No support. Buggy software with no bug fixes, although they have the time to continually roll out new features and services. You know, like search.brave.com. We already have duckduckgo.com, why do we need another search provider that “doesn’t track users.” Why not fix what is broken before you start adding new features. For instance, why do I never receive more than 0.6 BAT on Android Mobile? Since August 2020, the balance on my phone is never more than 0.6 bat. I’ll receive ads on my phone for about the first week. Then as my balance approaches 0.6 BAT, they stop. But no one at Brave will ever read this, so it looks like I’m headed back to Firefox. Especially since my entire June payout across three devices was less than 2 BAT for more than 300 ads, the last time I looked.
