Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. Issue:
When watching video’s on like YouTube or Rumble, when I power off the phone the audio from the video keeps playing. Doesn’t matter which app i’m using.
I go to settings: background video playback and disable it
I select relaunch now for chngs to take effect,
Brave closes and reopens, i go to settings: backgnd vid plybk and it is still enabled.
I reboot phone and test again and same.
BVP won’t let me disable it. Keeps re-enabling itself. This is new, not sure if a recent update of Android or Brave caused this or not.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Could you please try installing the Beta or Nightly version of Brave to see if the issue persist on those versions?
Additionally, please clear cookies and cache:
Click on the Menu icon in the top right, and go to Settings
Thanks for replying, much appreciated. Without and more changes by me the problem resolved itself, no idea why but all is well. No change to App. version or OS. But the background video playback now works. Scratching my head but all is well. BTW the Brave browser is awesome and I keep recommending it to everyone. Thanks for a great product.
