Android loses default browser setting

Hardware: Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

The default browser setting in the phone settings is frequently lost i.e. more than once per day. Brave is often not listed as an option for default browser.

Attached are screen shots of it working and not working. As you can see, the Brave browser is not listed as a possible default browser sometimes.

Note that other apps like ExpressVPN, which have a list of apps, also lose Brave from the list frequently.

I think there’s something wrong with the whole thing. I keep getting the message on the Google Pixel 7 Pro with Android 14 that Brave is not yet the default browser. But it is. That happened a few months ago. Now it’s happening more frequently again.
