Brave is constantly asking me to make it my default browser when it already is

Description of the issue:

When I open my brave browser, I get a prompt to make it my default. But it already is set as default.

How can this issue be reproduced?

Expected result:
To not get that prompt when it’s already set as default.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.48.160 chromium 110.0.5481.77

Mobile Device details
Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra

Additional Information:
Android version 13

Could you change it to another browser and restart Brave and when prompted, change it back to Brave ?

Ok I did that. Will give it some time and let you know how it works out.

Could you also try to verify if this happens:

  • always
  • after restarting the device
  • after a Samsung update
  • after an Android update

There is a high possibility that the issue is triggered by your OS, not by Brave

I haven’t noticed a particular pattern. It seems random; certainly not always. I’ll pay mind to if it occurs after an update. Thanks!
