Android app crashing when I try to type or interact with a text box

Description of the issue:

I’ve noticed this happening mostly on google, but also on other websites. Most of the time when I try to type into a search box the app will simply crash. Sometimes I am able to type on it but if I click away and then click again on the text box to try to erase a word for example it will crash.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Open google.com and search for something
2. Try and click on the text box to change a term on the search query
3. The app crashes

Expected result:

I guess it shouldn’t be crashing

On your Android device, can you please try disabling any autofill service you use at this time and test to see if this resolves the issue? Try setting the option to “none”:
