Description of the issue: Browser Crashes directly to the home screen while using google search.
I’ve been facing this issue with brave crashing on google search for while now. Recently I factory reset my device and setup everything from scratch, but the same issue persisted.
Later, when I read about a similar issue here in the community, one of the moderators suggested setting the autofill service to ‘none.’ I tried that, and the browser crashes stopped immediately.
The thing is, I need to keep using the password manager (Proton Pass), as all the credentials are on it. Please provide with a solution to this issue.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open google search (https://www.google.com/)
- Search something on google - View the results - Tap to type in and make another search, and the whole browser crashes to the point where I have to open it back and all the pages reload.
- When the browser crashes, any download that were in progress, fails and stops immediately.
Expected result: Should not be crashing
