There are some really cool search engines like “Ecosia” that I would like to use on Brave as the default search engine, gut there is no way to be able to select it as the default search engine.

@sphyber is correct – you can add additional search engines to the browser by going to Menu --> Settings --> Search engine --> Manage search engines. From here, use the Add button to add the desired search.
Additionally, once you run a search on a site (like Ecosia as you said), it will get automatically added to the list of Other search engines via Open Search.

What about Android? My search engine is not showing up even I am using it regularly? 🤷🏻
I have the same issue. Shortmarks it’s the search engine I use most on brave on Android and it’s not showing up as an option.

Adding search engines is no longer an option. Would like it back.
