Hey guys first off beautiful work what you guys have done! I myself have been scammed and duped in the crypto world since December 2017 and have lost over 80% of all my savings because of how heavy the scam/fud is. But seeing this new technology and being offered free ten dollars to pay attention has definitely put some positive light back in me. I will definitely start to use the Brave browser from now and would like to support and help however I can.
My first question was how do I opt in to start getting brave rewards for watching private ads? Is that available yet? I don’t see it as an option on the Android version.
My second question was (I know you guys already said your working on this) when will the feature of syncing my bookmarks from Google over to brave? And will it be able to sync the passwords and search history?
I am happy you have found BAT & Brave, and that it has restored some of your faith in blockchain projects. Our founder and CEO is the inventor of JavaScript, and co-founded Mozilla & Firefox. So, you can feel safe that this is a real, established project and company.
The Brave Ads feature has not been released yet. It will be landing on desktop first, and then Android shortly thereafter. You will see BAT-features in Brave on Android quite soon, since developer versions of the Android browser already have Brave Rewards integrated. The team is working through some final bugs, testing, etc. before releasing it to the mass public. (We have millions upon millions of users on Android, so it’s important to get it right!)

I don’t think you can live “sync” your bookmarks from Chrome to Brave, though maybe there’s an extension for that (at least on desktop)? However, you can sync Brave to Brave (desktop to Android, desktop to desktop, etc.), using Brave Sync. On desktop, to get your bookmarks from Chrome into Brave, you just have to import them. Go to brave://welcome and find the “import” step, and just import from Chrome.
Passwords, history, etc. syncing will be coming in subsequent updates to Brave Sync.
