@mwesten You also have to revisit what the topic is about, where people are saying they received less than they had anticipated. They were complaining as they wanted more BAT than they got. Yet the agreement was upheld and people received the 70% of what Brave got paid. Everything had been transparent via what we see in the ads history and on the catalog at https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/
Correct. You must opt in on something, then you get paid. You don’t have to fill out forms, take quizzes, refer people, make purchases, click ads, or anything of the sort. Thus with no work, purchase, etc it is “free money.”
When you use other browsers, they don’t pay you. It doesn’t matter how active you are or what information you provide, you earn nothing.
You probably should use better terminology here. If you look, there was no label put on anyone. Saying people are complaining because they didn’t get as much free money as they wanted is not labeling them. Tell me, what’s the label being applied?
Which is what I did. You point out like how they do poor transitions, don’t communicate as well as they should, have smaller teams than they should ideally be working with, etc.
It does get frustrating, such as how they did show in the catalog that house ads no longer paid, but they didn’t do any larger announcements until people started asking questions. At that point, we had things like First to know: Some upcoming changes in Rewards 3.0 that got published in November.
Brave needs to get better at giving information first, not in making changes and then bringing it up afterward.
