Youtube video freezing while audio plays

Description of the issue: Upon opening a YouTube video, I can clearly hear the audio playing normally. However, the video is frozen on the first frame and does not play until I make random changes to the window size/location ie switching between small and full-screen, and making the YouTube tab a separate window. Even this works only sporadically. I have had this issue for about a week, but it seems to have become worse. I checked the other post regarding extensions, but this method did not work. Any help is appreciated.

Expected result: YouTube working normally, synchronized audio and video

I’m not seeing this behavior on my end using Windows 10 in Brave v1.10.93. Can you tell me what you have your Shields settings set to for Youtube.com?
