Over the past month or so I have been having an odd problem where YouTube videos are freezing while the audio continues to play. Has anyone had a similar issues and know how to fix this?
What version of Brave? No, Youtube and every website is flawless for me. I’m using the official build.
Brave. Version 0.68.132 Chromium: 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Im using the latest version of the dev release. Could be that I suppose.

How long does it take for the videos to freeze? Is it any/all youtube videos or specific ones? Do the freeze whether or not you’re viewing in fullscreen or not?
It’s somewhat random, but its usually after a while. I’d say it can happen as early as 10 minutes.
Try to reinstall your graphics drivers…
Coincidentally, I have the same issue, but it was only prevalent during the first weeks or so of using Brave and now happens rarely.

I would try disabling Hardware Acceleration in Settings to see if that helps resolve the issue.
Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
