Youtube stopped playing videos

Youtube stopped playing videos today. When I click on a video it shows me a black screen in the place of the video.

I use the default shield settings. Turning the shields down didn’t solve the problem.

Youtube works as expected in Chrome.

Brave version: [Version 1.15.75 Chromium: 86.0.4240.99 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

What I’ve already tried and didn’t work:

  • Updated Brave
  • Cleared cache and cookies
  • Tried using Youtube logged in or logged off

What I tried and worked:

  • Using Youtube in a Private Window,

try to disable all exetenion and try again in normal mode

if it work then turn them back on one by one till you get the one that cause the issue and have a nice day

I did that and it’s some issue with Avira Browser Safety. When I disable this extension Youtube videos play normally.

Strangely I have the same extension enabled in Chrome and I had no problem there.

try to report that to avira maybe it make conflict with brave shield or something
