works on the latest nightly tho

@estrobink well, let’s repeat all the common questions and steps:

  1. Check on private window, does it work?

  2. Make sure everything is updated at brave://components

  3. Are you using any extensions?

  4. Are you using the default settings or have you enabled any particular filters?

@Saoiray thanks for the response! it happens in a priv window, i do have extensions but none of which are enabled in priv

i use the following filters, but i tested without them and still encounter the issue.

and update: it does happen in nightly too it just took a few mins for the issue to start happening, although in nightly it doesnt give the experiencing interruptions? popup, it just loads for a while

everything in brave://components was already updated.

@estrobink just so you know this actually is being reported across all browsers using ad blockers. It’s just one of the more recent things that they’re combating. There had been some fixes put in the place not long ago so I’m not sure if this is just another round coming up or what?

I know I haven’t had any problems yet. It’s just a little bit of a roll of the dice.

Just an FYI, two of the extensions that you’re using have actually been reported as triggering things from YouTube that causes problems. That would be Return YouTube Dislike and Enhancer for YouTube. Perhaps they aren’t triggering any issues since you said it’s happening in private and they aren’t allowed to operate in it. But I guess I would also suggest trying a second browser profile with no extensions install installed and see if you have any problems.

Otherwise it may just be waiting for the next rollout for content filters. Speaking of which, if you haven’t tried it, activate the experimental adblock rules and see if it has any difference.

@fanboynz tagging to ask if you have anything to add?

just tried a fresh profile—no difference :(. same thing with disabling those extensions & trying the experimental rules. interestingly enough i have no issues with firefox + uBO. how often do these content filter rollouts happen? and is that a brave thing or the maintainers of the lists?

No delay on firefox+uBO? I have firefox+uBO but also few other extensions and I see delay.

(we don’t care about “interruptions” notification as it seem to be purely cosmetic).

I take it back it’s now happening on ff with ubo lol
