Had it happen again yesterday, and the usual update everything strategy didn’t work. But it worked again after a few hours with me doing nothing in particular.
Seems to be OK, but a bit slow loading.

All the videos that I was watching suddenly turned into black screen and I think it’s because of Brave. I tried other browsers without adblock and it seems to work except this one.
For me, Brave also works with Shield. If YouTube breaks the ad-block, the only thing that helps is reinstalling from scratch. You can also use the adnauseam extension. I don’t use any AD blockers on Brave.

This is def an issue. BUT, there was a ‘x’ button on the TOS popup that I pressed and it went away. Although this happened again on another video, I am not seeing it anymore.
Hello world, i’m from chile, and i have the same problem, i can’t watch videos on youtube, but i can watch youtube video on incognito page. i have the latest version and i use ubuntu the last version too.

Do we add this somehow? what do we do with it? I can only watch one more video then i am blocked. 
I ove brave usually never have any problems but they going hardcore again.
Everything should working, all the fixes are upstream in Brave. Nothing manual to add or change from the defaults.
Hi, a few words to give my experience. Having installed Ubo, YT videos still forbidden. I’ve tried to erase youtube cookies and it did not work either. I had to erase all google (.fr and .com) and youtube cookies, and restart the browser to make it work.
Try uninstalling/disabling uBO, just use Brave by itself with no other extensions @Laurent42
I had to delete all my cookies and its seems to be working for now.

Hmm interesting. This morning, the youtube anti ad block message appears once more. I’ve deleted all youtube cookies without success. Not tried to delete google.* ones yet.
Try a clean profile, test in Brave Beta or Nightly. no extensions. Just the browser.
Yes, it works fine by connecting to YT in a private browsing session, so I disabled a DF Free extension and it worked. Well done.
As I mentioned Before You tube si now playing fine, but you cannot use or see stuff like, If i go to save to playlist, when it is suppose to show your play lists or watch later or whatnot so the sub menu it never pops up videos all play but clicking the 3 dots to save a video somewhere or to add it to watch later or others does not show up so no other menus.
Well everything was working good for a day or so and now I instantly cannot watch you tube videos while i was watching them no problem for an hour or so next one loaded bam completely blocked.
Anyone elses still broken like mine?? I can no longer use brave to watch youtube, but for some reason firefox is working…but I like brave a hell of lot more.
@Ezzatonian I’m going to close this topic as it has been resolved for most.
It would be helpful if you can please create a new topic and make sure to provide as much detail in that as you can. For example: Which OS you’re using, which specific version of Brave you’re on, any troubleshooting steps you have tried, and any other relevant info as possible. Maybe even explaining if you have any extensions and/or whether you have changed any of your Shields settings or if everything is default.
And to be clear on troubleshooting steps, it would be things like:
- Trying in private window to see if it plays there with no issues.
- Changing any content filters or other Shields settings to see if there is any impact. (
- Making sure everything is updated at
brave://components
Equally important would perhaps be screenshots or more detailed explanation of your issue.
Currently you only have said things like:
- i was watching them no problem for an hour or so next one loaded bam completely blocked.
- I can no longer use brave to watch youtube
It would be more helpful for things like:
- When I try to play the video it shows the adblock detection notice
or - It just loads as a blank player and nothing plays
or - The video infinitely loads
or - The videos play but I can’t see comments or other content
