XDA Developers take so long to load

forum.xda-developers.com/ Takes ages to load:

Just load the website. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ and it will take a bit time to load with brave. All other browsers don’t take that much time…

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Should load quickly:

Everytime:

Windows 64bit: [Version 1.1.23 Chromium: 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

Additional Information:

Just tested (from NZ) it loaded in 2 secs (with cache/cookies cleared), about 4-5 secs via US VPN. I would start with clearing cookies and cache, and trying in private mode (to ensure no other extensions aren’t causing issues)

that forum has been slow for years. And using a mobile browser makes it even slower. Very annoying and they have a LOT of adds build in.
It also opens quicker (a different page!) when you use Chrome (without add blocking etc)
I think it is intentionel from the XDA side.

I am using it from India and trust me it takes time to load only in brave. With chrome and firefox, it is opening so fast. My connection is kinda alright too. I posted this after with two browsers. There aren’t any extensions running along the brave when i wrote that report.

Try that with firefox. It isn’t that much slow, but when it comes to brave. It slow i really don’t know why. And there aren’t any extensions i am using at all while surfing internet with brave. Brave is running bare bones.

Brave is the slowest, that’s true. I’m logging on from France

I really don’t know what’s the reason! But i hope they gonna do something about it. Moreover i am going to report this to the xda moderators too.

Admin for XDA here. I use Brave personally. It doesn’t seem to be taking that long to load (US, desktop).

When logged in, specifically if you have a lot of subscribed threads, the forum can take a while to render the page. Is there a difference in speed if you are logged in or logged out?

We are working on a solution to this.
