Web cam and mic not working

I managed to install Brave on a Chromebook based on the Linux installation guide. The browser works, but the mic and webcam are not getting detected. I’ve enabled this setting in the browser settings.

If I use web-based apps like MS Teams and Google Hangouts, the mic and webcam are not detected.

I expect Brave to detect the hardware and use them with the communications tools.

Are you using an external mic/camera?

Internal devices.

Update: I was able to enable the mic via the Linux settings on Chrome OS.

I found the answer. Mic on Brave is enabled in Chrome OS Linux settings. Webcam is not supported on Linux VM via Chrome OS, so it won’t be available unless you tweak how OS handles Linux.
