Using the brave browser on a Chromebook

I have a HP 360 Chromebook 2 -in- 1 14" Touch-Screen Chromebook - Intel Core i3 - 8 GB Memory - 64 GB eMMC Flash Memory - Mineral Silver. Model: 14C - CA0053DX

I used Linux and was able to get the brave browser to work on my Chromebook it works very well I have one issue there seems to be no way that I can get the microphone to work for dictation the microphone will only work with the Bing search engine I can use the Bing search engine to search with voice and that’s it I’ve tried everything to get an external microphone from the Play Store nothing works and I think it’s because the chromium ecosystem won’t allow the microphone to work with brave. I’m just a home user I’m not a professional at all I did enable Linux on my Chromebook and I used the Linux terminal to get the brave browser put on my Chromebook I’ve got several extensions, and they work except anything to do with a microphone if anybody could give me some advice on how to fix this I would appreciate it. I used crosh to get brave on my Chromebook and did as described here
