I am having some trouble with a missing account after recovering my PC using my recovery phrase. The recovery phrase worked to recover one of the 2 accounts I had created in Brave. My other account which I primarily use was not recovered and creating a new account does not generate the old address.
Is there a way to recover additional accounts created? Most of my transactions were on the Binance Smart Chain.
You can also export individual private keys in the accounts tab by clicking on the account and then clicking the edit pencil button and then going to the Private Key tab.
No, but I had installed Brave on an additional PC and believe I had 2 rewards accounts. I recently found my private key for the missing account and was able to recover the funds. However, the private key import is not working properly when attempting to import into Brave it fails. I can only import the account into MetaMask for use.
I have tried that feature, I am not sure if the account name is required to be exactly the same as before (I don’t remember what I named the account), but I receive an error after the window closes (as if it worked) with no change what so ever. When revisiting the import option, it tells me in red the import failed and to try again. I tried 4 times consecutively with the same repeated behavior.
If you only have access to your recovery phrase and not the individual account private keys, you might be able to regain access to the account private keys by importing the recovery phrase into MetaMask (which I believe you have already done), then following the instructions on their website to export the individual private keys so that you can import them back into Brave Wallet.
Please let use know if you have already tried this, or if this doesn’t work
I am not able to add the recovered account into the Brave wallet using the import function still. But I do have access to my old wallet account using the method provided.
