Using the latest 1.73 version of Brave Browser/Firewall + VPN on iPhone 13
Connectivity issues when trying to manually switch servers, getting this error and then VPN deactivates automatically.
“Server Error
Failed to switch servers, please try again later.”
I checked previous posts and have verified that my payment info is up to date and subscription is active.

Is this happening for every single server location or only one specific one?
Seems to be all locations
@alexandria.arcana can you please try uninstalling the VPN profile from your iOS device and then reinstalling it? To do this, ensure your VPN is turned off, then:
- On your iOS device, go to
Settings --> General --> VPN & Device Management --> VPN
- Tap the
i
information icon next to the Brave VPN
- Tap
Remove profile
- Open Brave on your iOS device and toggle the VPN “on” again
- You will be prompted to install a new VPN profile — do so
- Once done, try enabling the VPN again

After discussing with Guardian, it appears that the only known fix for this is to uninstall and reinstall the browser on your device. While I acknowledge that it’s definitely not convenient, it should resolve your issue.
