Description of the issue: Hi. I downloaded a lot of webpages on the Android app (specifically: Brave 1.62.162, Chromium 121.0.6167.164) and transferred these files to my Windows 10 computer, where I was hoping Brave on Windows (version 1.62.162) would be able to view the files. Can I view these downloaded webpages?
Thanks,
CowardlyChieftain
Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. (1.) (In Android) Go to any site with text. (2.) Press the icon with the three dots on the bottom left, then hit the download page. (3.) Transfer files from mobile device to Desktop (in user’s case, Windows 10). (4.) ???
Actual Result: User can drag the files into Brave to view the text, but cannot make the page work as downloaded
Reproduces how often: 100% (Until the user is corrected).
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
-Android: Brave 1.62.162, Chromium 121.0.6167.164
-Windows 10: 1.62.162
Additional Information:
I suspect the problem would be more easily produced should a user perform the following: (1.) On Desktop, Download a webpage. (2.) Copy/Paste the file somewhere else. (3.) Delete the original downloaded webpage. (4). Attempt to view the copy/pasted file on Brave again. My computer is offline, however, so I cannot confirm this. Hope this idea proves easier though, and a thanks for any help that is provided. I… suspect (and hope) this problem is incredibly simple to solve.
Sory to see this mate, unfortunately i’m looking to do the same, to use the ’ downloaded ’ pages as brave ’ let ’ me do and use them crossplatform but i seen some critical issues like yours and mine, that i can’t even open the saved page from the file manager.
Found some other ways to do keep texts and photos in form of pdf docs by printing the pages.
The simples way brave let us do ’ what we want freely ’ is to tell us to make bookmarks and or save pages but doesn’t let us to open them on phones from other devices and so on!
GOOD JOB BRAVE
Here is what i could find about any ways to save pages " offline "
