Vertical Tab Bar Still Visible When Making Videos Fullscreen

Description of the issue:
Exactly what it says in the title. When I make a video fullscreen, whether from youtube or some other streaming site…my vertical tab bar is still visible. This DOES NOT OCCUR when the tab bar is set to horizontal at the top of the page. But when it is set to vertical tabs on the side of the screen…it remains visible when videos are made fullscreen. This is a brand new issue as of this morning (7/23/23). I have never had this problem before.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Set browser to “Use Vertical Tabs”
2. Navigate to a site with a video player
3. play video in fullscreen
4. notice that tab bar remains visible

Expected result:
Tab bar should disappear when videos are played fullscreen

May seem a bit confusing, but that’s actually one version out of date. They went from 1.56.9 to 1.56.11. I’m assuming you may still have this issue regardless, but could you update and advise if still have an issue?

And just a FYI, there is an open issue on Github for it. https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/31082
